The representatives of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), Alisa Martînov and Ciprian Jucov, attended the 2025 Energy Community Summer School, that was held in Kotor Montenegro, from 19 to 26 July 2025.
The event is organized annually by the Energy Community Secretariat and is considered one of the most important training initiatives dedicated to energy regulation in South-Eastern Europe. The Summer School offers a multi-disciplinary and hands-on programme focused on energy sectors in transition. The programme is headed by energy professionals and academics.
ANRE’s participation at this program reflects its commitment to a continuous professional development and to strengthening regional cooperation. This programme contributes also to the process of strengthening the institutional capacities and the harmonization of national regulatory acts with acquis communautaire, given the Republic of Moldova’s aspirations to join the EU.
The agenda of the programme included specialized sessions on:
- The regulation and competition on the electricity market (balancing, storage, renewables);
- The wholesale energy markets in the European Union. The principles of energy trading;
- Monitoring the markets according to local specifics and energy sector reform;
- Examining European legislation;
- The impact of the energy sector on the environment. Sustainable solutions.
The participants from ANRE were particularly interested in several key subjects related to the reform of the electricity and natural gas markets, the regulatory structure of the Central and Eastern European markets, the case studies on the integration of renewable sources into existing networks, and other relevant topics.
Attending the Energy Community Summer School 2025, reaffirms ANRE commitment to anticipate the coming market challenges while promoting a modern, safe and transparent regulatory framework. ANRE will continue to invest in the professional development of its employees and strengthen the international cooperation, that ultimately will facilitate the development of a sustainable energy sector, aligned with European standards.
