General director of ANRE held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of India on extending the cooperation in energy sector

The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) led by general director, Alexei Taran, held a meeting with HE Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, Ambassador of India to Romania and concurrently accredited to the Republic of Moldova.

The parties discussed the current cooperation prospects in the energy sector. The main focus of the meeting was the potential collaboration projects and the business interest of Indian investors, that can contribute to the resilience of the Moldovan energy sector.

The general director of ANRE, Alexei Taran, has welcomed the openness and the willingness of the Indian side to engage in a direct dialogue, emphasizing the importance of attracting foreign investments in energy infrastructure and implement new innovations and technologies in the energy sector.

The officials have also highlighted the opportunities of extending the economic cooperation, stimulating trade exchanges and identifying projects of strategic interest.

The meeting reconfirmed the interest of both parties to deepen economic cooperation and capitalize on existing potential that would also increase the efficiency of the energy sector.
