The 33rd meeting of the European Gas Regulatory Forum, also known as the Madrid Forum, was held on 23 - 24 of October, 2019, in Madrid, Spain. The meeting gathered the key actors in the European natural gas sector, including national regulatory authorities, representatives of the EU member state governments, the European Commission, the Energy Community, transmission system operators, gas suppliers and consumer associations. The Republic of Moldova was represented at the Forum by Eugen CARPOV, Director of ANRE.
The main subjects of the meeting focused on the current opportunities and challenges related to the creation of an internal gas market in the EU, extending and harmonizing the functionality of the gas market within the Energy Community.
The Republic of Moldova became a full member of the Energy Community on May 1, 2010, and this year our country is holding the presidency of this institution.
