ANRE participated at the webinar related to WTO Agreement on public procurement, organized by EBRD

On November 17 2020, the Director of ANRE, Violina Șpac participated at the webinar on World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Public Procurement, organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, and the Public Property Agency.

 

The webinar focused on discussions regarding the results achieved by Moldova in the last 4 years as part of WTO Agreement on Public Procurement. The Republic of Moldova ratified the WTO GPA by Law no. 125/2016, in force since June 24, 2016.

 

The objective of the webinar was to provide detailed information to state institutions and enterprises, in particular to those from utilities, which fall under the WTO Agreement on Public Procurement (the Law on Procurement in Energy, Water, Transport and Postal Services No. 74 of 21.05.2020, which will come into force on 26.06.2021).

 

Mrs. Șpac mentioned that the webinar provided useful information to public institutions as well as contracting parties. Mrs. Șpac also provided a brief presentation of ANRE competencies related to procurement procedures carried out by licensees in the regulated sectors, including ANRE’s competences on the approval of operator’s expenses for tariff purposes following the entry of the new sectoral law into force, which sets certain particularities on procurement procedures.
