On September 17, 2020 the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) has organized - ERRA Virtual General Assembly.
The Director of National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), Octavian Calmâc, participated at the virtual event. The participants discussed a number of regulatory issues and elected the main governing bodies of ERRA for the next two years (2020-2022).
One of the main issues of the event was the application and approval of the new members of ERRA, which represent the following energy regulators and associations: Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE) (Associate Membership), Electricity and Gas Regulatory Commission (CREG), Algeria (Associate Membership), Energy Regulators Association of East Africa (EREA) (Associate Membership), Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), France (Associate Membership) and Energy Regulatory Commission of Thailand (Full Membership).
The participants also discussed and approved the Program Report (May 2019 - August 2020), the financial and audit report, the work plan and budget for 2020-2021.
ANRE became a founding member of ERRA in 2000. The Association’s main objective is to increase exchange of information and experience among its members and to expand access to energy regulatory experience around the world.
