“ANRE has approved a provisional certification of the Electricity Transmission System Operator Î.S. "Moldelectrica"

 

The Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has approved the Decision on the provisional certification of the Electricity Transmission System Operator (TSO) Î.S. "Moldelectrica"

This decision confirms that the TSO meets the requirements of the Law on Electricity regarding the effective separation and the system operator independence from the licensees which are involved in supply and production of electricity and natural gas. The decision will guarantee the decision-making and functional independence of the transmission system operator and will not allow third parties to exercise a direct or indirect control of the TSO.

The certification of the TSO plays an essential role in ensuring the regulated access to the electricity transmission network and in providing electricity transmission service to all system users that meet the requirements of the law. Consequently, it contributes to the efficient functioning of the internal electricity market and to the integration of the electric transmission networks with the electricity transmission system of the Member States of the European Union.

Please note that the certification procedure has been transposed from Directive 2009/72/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 July 2009 concerning common rules for the internal market in electricity and repealing Directive 2003/54/EC, Law no. 107 of 27.05.2016 on electricity.”
