On April 28, 2020, the Administration Council of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has examined the applications for confirmation of the status of eligible producer submitted for electricity installations that/will produce electricity from biogas and wind power.
Out of 8 (eight) applications the Administration Council of ANRE has approved the status of eligible producer for 2 (two) producers of electricity from wind power with a total capacity of 4.4 MW and 1 (one) producer of electricity from biogas:
- „RX –PROFIT” SRL, a wind power plant with a capacity of 2200 kW, located in the village of Horodiște, district of Călărași;
- SC „ESCO VOLTAJ” SRL, a wind power plant with a capacity of 2200 kW, located in the village of Săiți, district of Căușeni;
- „IM PORCO BELLO” SRL, a power plant that produces energy from biogas with a capacity of 637 kW, located in the village of Cimișeni, district of Criuleni.
The applications for confirmation of the status of eligible producer submitted for other types of electricity production technologies will be examined by ANRE after the assessment of the legal provisions of the Law 10/2016 on promoting the use of energy from renewable sources and additional information obtained from public authorities.
ANRE continues to register the applications until the exhaustion of quotas (managed by ANRE), in compliance with the Government Decision no. 689/2018 on approving the capacity limits, maximum quotas and capacity categories in the electricity sector from renewable sources until the end of 2020.
ANRE will confirm the status of the eligible producer for a total capacity of 55 MW, according to art.34 of the Law 10/2016 and Government Decision no. 689/2018, for the following types of technologies:
1. Wind power installations – (max capacity) 20 MW. Capacity limit for one installation - 4 MW;
2. Solar/photovoltaic installations -15 MW. Capacity limit for one installation - 1 MW;
3. Biogas cogeneration plants - 12 MW. Capacity limit for one installation - 1 MW;
4. Solid biomass cogeneration plants - 5 MW. Capacity limit for one installation - 1 MW;
5. Hydrological installations - 3 MW. Capacity limit for one installation - 1 MW.
