A new meeting with Energy Community Secretariat

On June 8, the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) held a new online meeting with the Energy Community Secretariat regarding the challenges of the certification process of the transmission system operator (TSO) SRL "Moldovatransgaz."

 

The Director of ANRE, Eugen Carpov provided the latest information regarding the process of unbundling the TSO, pointing out that SRL „Moldovatransgaz” is facing some difficulties in implementing the action plan agreed between ANRE, the Energy Community Secretariat and SRL „Moldovatransgaz.”

 

The Deputy Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, Dirk Buschle reiterated the Secretariat availability and willingness to continue to provide the necessary assistance on this issue. Mr. Buschle has suggested some solutions that are based on the European Union directives, that were previously applied by regulators in other European countries.

 

The parties agreed that SRL "Moldovatransgaz" needs to invest more efforts in providing the necessary set of documents in order to complete the certification process, as early as possible, so that Republic of Moldova complies with the given commitments.
